February Favorites...

Paul Mitchell
Super Skinny Serum

I just use the smallest amount of it on my ends and it really helps.
If you get it near your roots it will make your hair look greasy, so be careful.

Cetaphil
Moisturizing Cream
For dry, sensitive skin

This is the best moisturizer. I don't have a dry spot on my face and it doesn't break me out.
I use it twice a day.

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick
in Soft Nude

I wear this everyday to school and out. It matches every eye look I have on and it's easy.
I wouldn't wear it without a pink toned gloss on top though.

Kathy Zeeland Purse
Fifth Avenue Collection

I really love this purse. It's perfect for me.
I feel bad using it because I want to keep it new and clean.

And 1 miss...

I put this picture up because I threw them out. What's left is in my car.
This is the WORST of the WORST.
My lips peeled and stung for the longest time.
This is absolutely crap and not worth the $3-4 I paid.

I believe people only buy it because of the"cute"  packaging but there is nothing cute about chapped lips.
Ugh.

Anyways, what were some of your favorites this month?

Off topic: Lately..

This is my personal blog, so sometimes I will put posts up that are off topic, such as my personal life. If you don't like those type of things just skip them!

Anyways, I got a new job. It's a project actually, but it will take me right until June..or May. I got the call yesterday along with a Congratulations. Which was a first, because I never got a "Congratulations", for a job before. Obviously, I cannot disclose the company name due to my privacy. But this I can tell you, it's for a fragrance type......company? LOL. I don't know what else to say. I was really excited about it yesterday afternoon, but then I had a bad night, so everything seems dull now.

Someone I truly love has let me down and lied to me about something very important to me. It's just very heart breaking when you find out. Sometimes people do that and that's life..and that's sad.

In other news, I lost 3 pounds... in 3 days. Just because I stopped drinking Pepsi. I am not overweight or trying to loose weight. But ever since I can remember I have had a serious caffeine addiction. The day before yesterday, I slept for 16 hours..all my energy is gone. I might take up drinking one cup of coffee a day. I have never been a fan though, so we'll see."Oh,but how can you sleep for 16 hours in the middle of the work week?", you ask. Well, due to my job, I get different projects from time to time so sometimes I end up with a lot of free time. It's a blessing really. But when I am not free, it's busy...crazy busy..the type of busy where when I come home from work I mange to shower..(because God knows I won't wake up early to do that)..and eat leftovers..standing up in the kitchen...and falling asleep with the T.V on with wet hair. And I repeat this cycle daily..for months...

I was told, I would only have to work less than 20 hours a week to complete this project... so hopefully that will remain true.

I am taking classes this semester, too. To upgrade my degree. I have all A's right now, which is a miracle because I half ass almost everything. I guess the professors half ass their grading, too then.
But this job, could not come at a worse time. My lack of energy and this depressing news about someone I love has really hit hard.

I start Monday. Wish me Luck.

Number of Times I Used this Product : 30+plus times

Description (According to L'Oreal):
Creates a flawless, silky, even-toned finish. Apply it daily to achieve smooth, poreless perfection.

RUNDOWN:

PRO:
It is readily available in major retailers.
CON:
For a "drugstore" foundation it is slightly more expensive than what we normally see.
PRO:
The packaging is unique and great in quality.
CON:
The packaging makes it more vulnerable to germs building up and ending up on your face, since you have to dip either your brush/fingers repeatedly back into the glass container to get the product out.
PRO:
You only need to use a small amount of product each time.
CON:
Since it is a "mousse" texture, it will emphasize the dry areas on your face.
PRO:
It blends easily.
CON:
There is a limited color selection.
PRO:
It has medium coverage.
CON:
You cannot build the foundation up to get more coverage because it will cake.
PRO:
It is pigmented enough to cover redness.
CON:
It doesn't last all day, without a great primer.
PRO:
It actually does give a pore-less complexion.

Honestly, if you oily skin this foundation is for you. If you have dry skin or dry areas on your face make sure to use an excellent moisturizer. As with most drugstore foundations, you need to also have an excellent primer in order to make it last all day.  If you are just starting out with makeup in general or trying foundations for a first time , this is great for you because it blends easily. If you have problems with pores or redness this is also a great foundation to use. If you did not like the Maybelline Mousse line, you most likely will not like this either.

Would I purchase this again? The answer is No. Only, because I like cream or liquid foundations better for my skin.

THING I CANNOT COMMENT ON:

If this will break you out:
I have sensitive skin and it did not break me out, but will it break you out?
I don't know because everyone has a different skin type, what you use as primer and how that interacts with the foundation, etc.

What I used to apply the foundation with:
It all depends on the person, if you have good foundation brushes and you know how to use them that is one thing or if you are better at using your hands, it all depends of what you are best at.

Hope this helps you.

Gifts for Guys!

I am in love.
I have never in my life smelled something so beautiful and attractive than this cologne.
It seriously melts me.
I thought I'd share in case you have a man in your life with an upcoming birthday, anniversary, etc.
Cologne makes a great present, if you know the mans taste and so forth.
I cannot imagine anyone not liking this smell.

It's the Ralph Lauren The Big Pony Collection
Number 3!
Wow, poor choice in collection naming, but the smell makes up for it.
I smelled a sample of this in my Cosmo magazine.. and I just fell in love.
It smells like rain...it's beautiful.

I always have a hard time picking out gifts for guys, because God only knows what they want right?
But I will buy this for my boyfriend because the smell is AH-MAZZZZING!

Anyways, let me know if you like "Beauty", things geared towards men and I'll try to include more tips on what to get them, etc.

Much Love <3

Innhits: Lipliners are the New Lipstick

1. Pick out a color, only one color.
2. Outline your lips like you would normally.
3. Then continue to fill in your lips.

4. Your lips should have a slight matte look to them at this point. Put a clear gloss on or pick out a gloss complimentary to the color of the liner.
And there you are.

Extra tip: Be sure to apply lip balm before the process because it will make the application of the liner more easy.

Benefits:
-Sometimes buying a lipliner costs less than a lipstick (depending on the brand).
-Lipliners last longer because of their consistency .
-You'll get defined, messy proof lips.

I am homesick.....

This is Munich, Germany. I am not German, but this is were I spent my childhood.
I miss Europe. The smell of the air, the people, the lifestyle...I do love the U.S, but the city life and busy school/work... situation..makes me homesick. I don't like Germany as much, but I can't post pictures of my home country since it's a small Country..and that's too much info for the internet. lol.

How is everyone tonight? I hope where ever you are right now, it's somewhere you want to be.

Fashion OUTS: Do not get caught wearing this in 2011!

WARNING!!! PLEASE READ:
I ALWAYS FEEL I HAVE TO SAY THIS BECAUSE I DO NOT...DO NOT WANT TO HURT ANYONES FEELINGS. JUST BECAUSE I LIST SOMETHING AS "OUT" AND YOU HAPPEN TO BE WEARING IT WHILE READING THIS OR HAD JUST HAULED TONS OF IT DOESN'T MEAN I AM RIGHT. IT'S JUST MY OPINION BASED ON WHERE I LIVE AND WHAT I HAVE SEEN THAT I BELIEVE IS OUT. I AM SORRY IN ADVANCE IF I UPSET YOU!

OUT:
#1: Owl Necklace...bracelet...earrings...whatever.

I don't know what this obsession with owls was or where it came from. I never got into it. And all those necklaces hit you right in the middle of the chest..so it looks like your breasts have owl eyes...looking for spectators?

#2: Thin/Fat/Real/Fake Gold/Silver Bangles..

I don't care if it cost $1.00 USD or $1,000.00 USD. The sound they make is annoying and shows no originality since they almost come with every bracelet set in almost every store. I have just tons of these floating around and I never wear them.

#3: Racer back tops..in whatever color/shape/form..

They just look so manly and unattractive. The racer back style originally came from sports wear. Since when did we decide that what we sweat and bleed in makes cute/flatting tops as well?

#4: The cropped...whatever that is..

Okay. I know these are really in right now. BUT! These do nothing to flatter your shape. If anything they make you look like a box cut out. The top makes your body look disproportionate. Even if you have the perfect body, it's just not cute. In my opinion.

And men agree with me too, a friend was wearing one and our guy friends asked her where the rest of her top was? Or joked around, about the 80's calling wanting their top back.

All in good spirits though.

#5: Tops with this...puff

  This is...just.... hideous....

#6: Floral/Fluffy ..Ruffle Skirts...

The "You are not a little girl anymore", quote I find myself repeating whenever I see GROWN women wearing what my 5 year old cousin would throw a tantrum over if my Aunt dared putting this on her. This looks like you took your Grandmas curtains and made a short skirt out of it.

#7: Tights...

Again, with the "You are not a little girl anymore."
Tights are too tight, sometimes sheer. And it really annoys me that girls think just throwing something/anything over tights makes it an outfit. This is not the case. Sorry.

#8: Flats...

It doesn't matter the brand/color/style ..or comfort.. if you are going to wear these you might as well wear crocks, too.
They look so childish...we are grown people.
Just because something was amazing when we were 7, doesn't mean it's amazing now... when we are most likely in our 20's-30's.

Okay, that's it for now. Please, don't hate me. These are just my opinions, if you agree or disagree put a comment below.
I will still like you regardless! Speak your mind!
